1 SCOPE.

This specification is intended to clarify and standardize the manner in which component appearance is specified and assessed. It contains a checklist (see Table 1) which may be used in product requirement drawings for specifying the appearance of electrical switches, clusters, radios, HVAC controllers, etc. Component appearance is defined by the 8 topics covered by this standard listed below.
