This procedure is used to determine if a heat stake will withstand a 90 N tension load applied perpendicularly at a constant rate. This procedure was developed for ABS (with a grained surface) heat staked to painted steel of 1 mm nominal thickness. Other materials, test conditions or loads may require modifications to this procedure.
