This standard conforms in all essentials with the American National Standard, ANSI B18.5.2.1M -Metric Round Head Short Square Neck Bolts. It requires, however, that the end of the bolt be processed to facilitate assembly. These bolts are intended primarily for applications where the square neck will be engaged in thin metals.
