1 Scope

1.1 Material Description. This specification covers DEXCVT continuously variable transmission fluid (CVTF). DEXCVT is combination of an ATF, 9986220, and a top treat of defoamer, 9986219. This specification describes, in terms of laboratory and simulated service test results, the requirements for a minimumperformance fluid. The primary re quirement, however, is satisfactory perfor mance in normally functioning transmissions under normal and severe service conditions.

1.2 Typical Application. This transmission fluid is intended for use in GMPT VT20E and VT25E continuously variable transmissions as service fill.
