1 Scope

This specification covers the performance requirements of exterior plastic parts decorated with paint film. The parts must be made using regular production process and tooling. The parts may be functional within themselves or they may be a subassembly of, or attached to, decorative or functional parts. Examples are rocker moldings, air dams, body side moldings, body claddings, mirror housings, appliqués, inserts, lamp housings, and fascias. The requirements of this specification are the responsibility of the thermoformer.
