This specification describes the requirements of a black ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) with intermediate fuel and oil resistance.
Material Description. EPDM per SAE J200M3CA707 Z1 through Z11 (see Table 1 for suffix requirements). For applications requiring a 125°C continuous temperature.
Typical Application. Clean air ducts with positive crank ventilation (PCV) ports.
Remarks. Materials supplied to this specification for molded air ducts must meet the requirements of GM6273M.
Alternative materials for clean air ducts with PCV ports are Epichlorohydrin (ECO) and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE).
