This document applies to the AM/FM antenna systems of passenger vehicles, light duty trucks and medium duty trucks. This document is a comprehensive standard replacing documents GMUTS R-12L-1 and R-12L-2, MTL9201 and MTL9207 (AM/FM antenna systems). The requirements stated in this document supersede all Component Technical Specifications (CTS), Subsystem Technical Specifications (SSTS), and Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS) that pertain to AM/FM antenna systems.
For active antenna technologies not specifically described in this document, the AM active and the FM active (production module) requirements shall apply. Refer to applicable CTS/SSTS/VTS documents for further clarification.
