Purpose.
The purpose of this procedure is to provide a Screening Test for Exposed Quality Sheet Steel Appearance after Stamping and Painting. Requirements for this screening test are in GMW11.
Foreword. Exposed Quality Sheet Steel shall meet minimum requirements for BYK. Wave Scan values taken on painted "flat" and "formed" test samples.
Applicability. This test procedure shall apply to all electrogalvanized, exposed quality sheet steel intended for application to vehicle exterior panels.
