1 Scope

This test method shall be used to determine the abrasion resistance of interior automotive materials (e.g. fabric, coated fabric or plastic roll goods, leather, etc.) when used with the Passive Occupant Detection System-A Surface (PODS-A) (aka Flexpoint Suppression sensing mat system). Wear is evaluated directly over the Force Concentrated Device (FCD) area of the mat.
