This specification covers the properties of black, general purpose ABS containing a minimum of 25% pre- and/or post-consumer recycled ABS material.

PAINTABILITY. Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint On Parts Systems (GM APOPS) data base.

APPLICATIONS. Typical applications include the following: covered or painted interior trim.

RECYCLED MATERIALS. Materials under this specification shall have a minimum of 25% recycled content by weight, as defined in GM502M. Post-consumer and/or post-industrial materials apply.

Virgin material, GMP.ABS.001 may be substituted for this recycled material provided parts made from virgin material have been approved by the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
