1 Scope
This spec. covers requirements for a water borne black cathodic electrocoat primer for use on vehicles small parts, (cold rolled and pre coated steel ), as a first protective layer.
This material, when suitable applied, shall show efficient corrosion resistant properties, good throwing power on closed boxes sections, and flowing properties to assure a smooth resultant film, which may be or not subsequently top coated.
pre coated steel: Hot Dipping Galvanized;Eletro Galvanized and Galvaneal (Zn/Fe).
Non top coated parts: inner/underbody parts, not subjected to natural UV radiance.
