1 Scope
This spec. covers requirements for a water borne gray medium film build cathodic electrocoat primer for use on vehicles (over cold rolled and pre coated steel ), as a first protective layer.
This material, when suitable applied, shall show efficient corrosion resistant properties, good throwing power on closed boxes sections, and flowing properties to assure a smooth resultant film, which may be or not subsequently top coated.
pre coated steel: hot dipping galvanized; eletrogalvanized; and galvaneal Zn/Fe.
non top coated parts: inner/underbody parts, not subjected to natural UV radiance.
