Purpose. To evaluate the durability of horn blowing mechanisms which are integral parts of steering wheel assemblies including horn pad(s), cap(s), or airbags, if applicable.

Foreword. This test is designed to demonstrate durability of the horn blowing mechanism under loading conditions corresponding to extreme usage. 

Applicability. Passenger cars, Multipurpose Passenger Vehicles (MPV), and trucks.
