Purpose.
To insure that service fill operations will result in a properly filled system when it leaves the dealership without thermal cycling. This procedure will determine the quantity of coolant that must be added after the filling procedure. Also, this procedure may be used to define the engine cooling system coolant capacity for the owner's and service manuals.
