Purpose. The check load cycle portion of this test is performed to determine the effects of initial and repetitive check loading on the entire door, hinge, and pillar system. The hinge cycle portion of this test evaluates the effects of cycling from closed to open to closed position, including all hold-open or detent positions. Check Load Rigidity (abusive load) Procedure GMW15612 is a prerequisite to performing Check Load and Hinge Cycle Durability. Also see Figure A7 for photo of Check Load Rigidity Setup.
