This specification details the performance requirements for a pressure sensitive vibration damping rubber based material which is laminated to a film/constraining layer.

The composition/base of the film can be chosen by region/plant when the required performances are achieved.

Material may be applied in body shop, paint shop or trim shop on flat or gently contoured surfaces

The part is supplied with the adhesive surface protected by a release paper

After removal of the release paper these materials shall have satisfactory pressure sensitive tack to a variety of metals with production processing oils, ELPO and substrates with paint and paint overspray.

These types of materials shall be utilized for local vibration and sound damping and shall withstand production phosphatizing, ELPO, primer/surfacer and topcoat bake operations exhibiting temperatures up to +205 °C.
