Purpose.
This test method describes the procedure to be used for scribing previously coated (painted, plated, etc.,) specimens, removal of scribe line corrosion products and the measurement of the loss of adhesion from the scribe line due to corrosive creepback.
Applicability.
Evaluation of the adhesion properties of painted metal, plastic and sealer before and after environmental testing.
