Purpose. The purpose of this test procedure is to determine the hemming performance of aluminum sheet material for body closure applications. In this test, a sheet sample is bent in a 3-point bend test device to 180 degrees.
Foreword. Not applicable.
Applicability. This test procedure and evaluation method applies for all hemming processes, including table top hemming, press hemming, and roller hemming.
