Material Description. This standard defines equipment process control and product inspection requirements for producers of GM welded or mechanical clinched product.

Applicability. The requirements of this standard are applicable to joining and dispense processes utilized by a General Motors fabricating and/or assembly plant to manufacture automotive parts and assemblies (prior to paint operations).
