Purpose. This standard describes the method to measure sliding resistance for side window weatherstrips, including glass run channels and belt seals. Measurements for sliding resistance shall be taken on the full section (i.e., inner and outer glass run channel lips, inner and outer belts).

Applicability. This test procedure is applicable to all side window weatherstrips.
