This specification describes the functions, performance, reliability, validation, and shipping requirements for Accumulator/Dehydrator (A/D)/Filter Assemblies for use with liquid and gaseous R744 refrigerant (9986318) and Polyalkylene Glycol (PAG) or Polyolester (POE) refrigeration lubricant. This specification applies to components to be used in automotive air conditioning (A/C) systems for GM passenger cars and passenger trucks. All requirements of this specification must be met in order to demonstrate design and production validation.

Accumulator with integrated Internal Heat Exchanger (IHX) is not covered by this specification.

Heat pump applications are not covered by this specification.
