Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to test the OnStar Speech Recognition capabilities for a given vehicle platform.

Foreword. In-Vehicle Noise Data Collection, GMW16083, must be completed prior to the OnStar Automated Speech Recognition Test, as results obtained from GMW16083 are used during this procedure. The documentation of these procedures contains details included specifically for the proper operation of the Troy, Michigan hardware Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) setup, and may not apply if another setup is used.

Applicability. This standard applies to all vehicle programs available with OnStar, for each vehicle cabin configuration and/or microphone location.
