Purpose. This procedure develops the Impulse Response and Noise Collection components of Voice Recognition Performance testing.

Foreword. In-Vehicle Noise Data Collection is the precursor to the OnStar Automated Speech Recognition Test GMW16082.

This procedure must be completed before performing GMW16082. The terms Impulse Response and Transfer Function are used interchangeably with respect to voice recognition testing. Completing of the In- Vehicle Noise Data Collection procedure will result in the development of the Impulse Response (or Transfer Function).

Applicability. This testing is to be performed on vehicle lines that will receive OnStar.
