This specification establishes the minimum requirements for the coaxial tube internal heat exchanger (IHX) to be used in R134a 9985751 and HFO1234yf A/C systems. The function, performance, reliability, validation and shipping required for the coaxial tube internal heat exchanger are defined in this document.

All requirements of this specification must be met in order to demonstrate design validation.

This specification does not include the elastomeric section of hose assemblies which is covered in GMW14319. Brazed/welded fittings, access ports, etc., are covered in GMW15787. Seal washers are covered in GMW15779.

Mission/Theme. The intent of this specification is to define the performance requirements and the tests required to confirm the compliance with these requirements for R134a 9985751 and HFO1234yf coaxial tube internal heat exchangers.
