Purpose. To measure the hydraulic pressure in the power steering return hose(s) during an engine cold start simulation event.

Foreword. This test provides information for selection of return hose type and the connection style for securing the return hose to the pipe.

Applicability. This procedure is applicable to all vehicles with a Hydraulic Power Steering System.
