Purpose.
The carbon canister is a component of the Evaporative Emissions (Evap) Subsystem and the Powertrain Controls and Diagnostics System. The carbon canister provides the means for storing fuel vapors within the vehicle system. The intent of this document is to:
• Provide a structured information flow process between the carbon canister supplier and the carbon canister customer.
• Provide a controlled, disciplined design/change process.
• Provide a useful design history through the revision summary.
