Material Description.

This specification covers the properties of a polyester ultra-low density Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), reinforced with 35% glass fibers, all are randomly oriented. The cured material shall have a density of 1.03 g/cm3 to 1.21 g/cm3 maximum. This material must meet the bondability requirements of GMW15921.

Symbols.

The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is >UP-GF35<.

Applicability.

Includes upper plenum, speaker close-out panels, the surround.
