Material Description. This standard covers the properties of a 15% by mass glass fiber reinforced, heat stabilized, flame retardant, polyamide 6 (nylon 6) which is used in injected form for molded components. This material can be colorable to meet underhood requirements or can be paintable. Types are defined in Table 4.

Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is >PA6-(GF15+Mxx)<.

Applicability. Typical applications include Engine Covers.
