Purpose. This standard defines the testing methodology and requirements for validating Active Spoiler systems to GM requirements. Active Spoiler system components include:

• Active Spoiler - motor/transmission.

• Active Spoiler - -electrical components and connections.

• Spoiler - any attaching hardware.

Applicability. This standard applies to all passenger cars, Multipurpose Passenger Vehicles (MPV), and trucks that have an active spoiler system.

Remarks. This document is the GM Worldwide Active Spoiler Testing Standard. Its purpose is to establish a common test methodology for Active Spoiler systems to ensure that a high quality world class system is consistently developed and produced. This is a living document and any suggestions or revisions will be reviewed and/or updated annually by the Roof Closure Global Subsystem Leadership Team (GSSLT).
