Purpose/Material Description.

This standard covers the properties of high density, heat stabilized, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) compatible, injection moldable polyethylene copolymer.

Symbols.

The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is >PE-HD<.

Applicability.

Injection molded Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tanks, with high flexibility, suitable for usage at low temperatures.

Remarks.

Resins for DEF tank applications will only be given full approval in the GM Approved Materials Source List after a tank, made with said resin, has been fully validated for a GM program.
