Purpose. This specification establishes the requirements for a Type 1 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Container Assembly. The functions, performance, reliability, and validation requirements of the CNG Fuel Container Assembly are defined in this document or a reference is made to another applicable document.
Applicability.
This specification applies only to Bi-fuel or dedicated (Mono-Fuel, Mono-Fuel Plus) CNG vehicles. It includes requirements for both complete and incomplete vehicles (i.e., cab chassis).
