Material Description.
This standard covers the properties of glass fiber reinforced, high heat stabilized, injection moldable, hot water moldable polyphthalamide (PPA).
Symbols. The material abbreviations according to SAE J1344, ISO 11469, and ISO 1043 are shown in Table 1.
Applicability.
Typical applications include the following: transmission and engine components for high heat environments.
Remarks.
The classification into groups is according to the high temperature performance. Additional types will be added as necessary:

• T3: 250 °C
