Purpose.

This standard describes the porosities, surface discontinuities and the resolution requirements for x-ray inspection for manual transmission cast shift forks, e.g., 1-2 fork, 3-4 fork, 5-6 fork and reverse fork porosities and surface discontinuities.

Applicability.

Cast aluminum, brass or bronze manual transmission shift forks.
