Material Description. This specification covers the properties of a low profile vinylester sheet molding compound (SMC), reinforced with 50% glass fibers, half of the fibers are 25 mm long and half are 12.7 mm long. All are randomly oriented.

Applicability. Typical applications are structural and include the following: Midgate and endgate inner reinforcement panels, battery housings for electric vehicles and truck bed or boxes.

Remarks. The material must meet the bondability requirements of GMW15921.
