Purpose/Material Description.
This procedure defines the requirements an aluminum extrusion supplier shall meet to qualify their products and processing lines at General Motors. This procedure applies to GMW material grades as specified in GMW15665. This includes GMW grades from new suppliers or grades that have undergone a significant change in process route. Aluminum extrusion products supplied to GM production facilities must have approvals as defined in this procedure.
Note: The release of specific parts and applications are not within the scope of this procedure.
