Purpose/Material Description.

Materials approved to this specification are intended to act as a medium for obtaining good adhesion of polyurethane glass bonding adhesives to automotive glass. These materials are used as a two-step primer system. Type 1 is a clear primer applied directly onto glass/frit. Type 2 is a black primer applied directly over the clear. The black primer screens out ultraviolet rays which may be harmful to adhesion.
