Purpose/Material Description.

This specification covers a 40/60 blend of No. 1 and No. 2 diesel fuel for US Factory Fill Diesel Fuel. This specification has been revised to reflect a regulatory reduction in the maximum sulfur level of on-road diesel fuel.

Applicability.

This diesel fuel is intended primarily as factory fill fuel at vehicle assembly plants. Factory fill diesel fuel is intended for use in vehicles that are stored for extended periods of time or in storage tanks where the rate of turnover is low.
