This specification describes the requirements for a high durability exterior, high gloss, two-component (2K) solventborne monocoat for use on exterior painted parts. Products that are approved to this standard have a target bake of 82 °C (180 °F) and typical bake range of (82 to 135) °C ((180 to 275) °F).

Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.

Purpose/Material Description.

These topcoats are part of a total painted product system and shall meet the requirements set forth in this specification and those shown on Engineering Drawings. This specification shall be used in conjunction with GMW14797, Painted Plastic Parts Performance Requirements for plastic parts or GMW14669, Organic Coating Performance for Exterior and Interior Metallic Components for metal parts.
