Purpose. Validate the vehicle evaporator condensate management performance under various static and dynamic conditions, as related to the vehicle passenger compartment.

Foreword. The test described herein shall only be performed where conditions allow for safe handling. The validation team has a choice between two equivalent tests: a bench test and a road test. The road test requires severe lane changes and U-turns. Therefore proper precautions shall be taken to ensure the safety of the driver, passenger(s) and the general public so that they are not jeopardized when selecting the road test option.

Applicability. Front and/or rear passenger vehicle Air Conditioning (AC) systems.
