Purpose.

This standard shall be used to determine the odor propagation of automotive interior materials (e.g., fabric, coated fabrics such as: plastic roll goods (PRG) because it can be polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PUR), thermoplastic olefin (TPO), carpets, padding, insulators, felts, plastic parts, interior paints etc.) when subjected to elevated temperatures and high humidity.
