Purpose/Material Description.

Materials covered in this specification are motor vehicle hydraulic (Department of Transportation) DOT 4 brake fluids composed of a suitable mixture of polyglycols, polyglycolether, boric acid ester, corrosion inhibitors and any necessary additives. Castor oil, mineral oil dirt and other contaminants are not permitted.
