This document provides a consistent engineering practice for the determination of visual color and appearance differences of opaque or nearly opaque materials and parts incorporated in the manufacturing of vehicles. Usage includes evaluation of a color match to a specified color standard or target as well as appearance changes between control and exposed materials/parts after specified exposure tests.
