1. SCOPE
This standard covers cold rolled carbon steel sheet which has been terne-alloy coated on both sides by a hot-dip process. The product is commonly known as "long terne sheet" and should not be confused with "short terne plate" which is black plate. The terne coating is an alloy of lead and tin.
