1. SCOPE
This specification describes a 2 component silicone based sealant. The mixed sealant consists of HN 1957, 12 parts by weight and HN 1958, 1 part by weight, mixed to form a homogeneous, air free sealer. The sealant must be slump free and cure to a rubbery consistency and be suitable for bonding glass to chromated aluminium and also to adhering to various paint primers such as Black Alkyd, Brown Epoxy, Primer Surfacer and Chassis Enamel. It must retain its bonding properties during extended outdoor weathering and be resistant to engine compartment temperatures.
