1. SCOPE
This specification details the performance requirements for a polymer laminate material. There are three grades of material. Grade 1 expands on curing through the Elpo oven temperature of 185 ° C to a maximum of 50%. Grade 2 is non-expanding and cures during the Elpo oven at a temperature of 185 ° C. Grade 3 is non expanding but cures at a lower temperature than Grades 1 and 2. Minimum curing time temperatures is 15 minutes at 150 ° C. The laminate materials have a woven (or other suitable material) backing on one side of the polymer and a release paper on the other. These materials shall be utilized for localised reinforcement or stiffening of body panels.
