1. SCOPE:
This specification covers the basic requirements for fluorocarbon post treatments. These coatings are suitable for simple formed metal parts, castings, clips and other ferrous parts where above normal levels of corrosion protection are desired and which are not adversely affected by baking temperatures in the range of 150 to 190° C. These coatings may also be used to reduce friction and wear on mating surfaces or an anti-scuff type finish.
