1. SCOPE
This specification details the requirements of a high bake, wash resistant sealer. The material is intended for use in the body shop as a joint sealer against water, dust and air intrusion. The material must be a smooth homogeneous mixture, free of air, lumps, unmixed particles and foreign material. It must be capable of being dispensed by 46:1 production pumping equipment. The material must adhere to oily metal. It must have good weatherability and must not accelerate rusting of the metal substrate over which it is applied.
