1. SCOPE

This specification covers hose made from textile reinforcement and synthetic rubber, for use in hydraulic steering applications as a flexible fluid-return connection between the power steering unit and the remote reservoir. Except as otherwise specified below, the hose shall meet the requirements of SAE J189. Where the requirements of this specification and SAE J189 appear to conflict, the requirements of this specification take precedence.
