1. SCOPE

The material described in this specification is a trilaminate tape which is adhered to chromed plastic header mouldings. The tape is used as a barrier between the header moulding and the painted hood and must protect the paint from rubbing wear. The tape consists of fibres, usually nylon, bound together to form a pad which is adhered to a polyurethane layer with an aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive.
