1. SCOPE This specification details the requirements for a 100% solids, non-expanding antiflutter adhesive for use between inner and outer steel panels or on door intrusion beams. The antiflutter adhesive is intended to eliminate metal contacts, act as a vibration dampener and maintain a pre-established spacing between surfaces. Type 1 refers to a medium strength antiflutter with moderate modulus. This product is suitable for general production use where high strength and stiffness is not required. Type 2 refers to a high strength antiflutter with moderate modulus. This product is suitable for applications requiring high strength and stiffness. Both adhesives shall not be left for more than 2 weeks. These adhesives are not recommended for CDK transport in the uncured form.
